Chapter & Verse Bookclub December reads

Our bookclub sets a monthly theme and each member reads a book of their choice based on the theme, often loosely based. For this month we choose 'Discomfortable Reading'. This could cover books on challenging subject matters, or books from an unfamiliar genre, or school literature you'd always been meaning to read or re-read, or just plain awful books - badly written, over hyped, turgid dross.
